Retail Parks change hands

More than £235m of retail parks changed hands this week. Henderson selling its 63,252 sq ft Staples Corner in Brent Cross, Middlesex, to New Star Asset Management for £80m and buying the remaining 25% stake in The Brewery in Romford, Essex, from Invista for £55m; Arlington Securities bought the 218,000 sq ft Newcastle Shopping Park from Standard Life Investments for £55m, while Morley paid British Land £44.45m for the Purley Way centre in Croydon.
HP Four represented Arlington Securities on their Newcastle purchase.
